The project includes the construction of a new Cargo Facility at Ras Hanzir in the Grand Harbor of Valletta Port, Malta. This facility will be located between the Laboratory Pier and the Fuel Pier. The new dock will be parallel and aligned with the existing Fuel Wharf Dock, but will slide offshore. Construction will be predominantly above water and will consist of:
Cleaning, excavation and demolition
Dock retaining wall structure (special structures) built in stages, including mooring facilities
Seabed consolidation/Soil remediation, land reclamation and paving works
Laying and preparation of services
Buildings, gates, fences and barriers
